These are the terms between you and Spreadsheet Studio (“we”) when you create an account or subscribe at spreadsheetstudio.co. They are short because the service is simple. Questions go to sturdylaw@gmail.com.
The service
We build spreadsheets to order: financial models, forecasts, budgets, reporting packs, dashboards, and repairs of sheets you already have. You submit requests on your board, we build them, you download the result. There is one plan; what it costs, what it includes and the turnaround it works to are on the pricing section.
Requests and revisions
- Requests are worked in the order they are submitted, one at a time, with up to 3 open on your board at once. When one is delivered, the next one starts.
- Revisions to a delivered request are unlimited and do not count as a new request. A new question is a new request.
- Turnaround times are targets we work to, not guarantees. A request that needs data you have not sent yet waits for the data.
- We will tell you if a request is outside what we do (see below) or if something in the data you sent looks wrong before we build on it.
What we do not do
We do not provide bookkeeping, accounting, tax, audit, legal or investment advice. A workbook we build shows what your numbers say under the assumptions in it; deciding what to do about that is yours. Nothing we deliver is a representation that a projection will come true.
Billing, pausing and canceling
- The subscription is month to month. It starts when you pay for its first month, by card, when you create your account (or when we put your account on the plan by arrangement), and it renews each month on that date until you pause or cancel it.
- The price is the one shown on the pricing section at the time you subscribe.
- You can pause your plan for one to six months at a time. While paused you are not billed. Requests already in your queue are still built and delivered, and you can keep adding requests until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- You can cancel at any time by asking on your board or by email. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and delivered files stay available to download.
Your data and your files
- The data you send us stays yours. We use it only to build what you asked for, as described in the privacy policy.
- The workbooks we deliver are yours. You can edit them, share them, and keep them after you cancel. Nothing in them is locked, hidden or password-protected.
- The templates and build tooling we start from remain ours; you get the finished workbook, not a license to resell our library.
Accounts
Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think your account has been used by someone else. You are responsible for what is submitted from your account. We may close an account that is used to send abusive content, to upload material you have no right to share, or to try to access another client’s data.
Liability
We build with care and check our work, and we still cannot promise a workbook is free of every error, because it runs on data and assumptions you supply. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit or a decision made on the basis of a projection.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and anyone with an active account gets an email before the change applies. The current version is always the one at spreadsheetstudio.co/terms.
